Work Experience and Accreditation

Mary Louise has been training adults in stress management techniques for more than 12 years. She has extensive experience teaching mindfulness in schools with staff and pupils of all ages. She has many years’ experience of a form of self-inquiry developed by Byron Katie called The Work (www.thework.com) which is a simple yet powerful process that helps to identify and question the thoughts that cause stress. She also uses Focusing which is a body based emotional healing technique.  Her work is based on the paradox of change, the only way to change is not to try to change. By coming into wise and kind relationship to ourselves exactly as we are, change can happen effortlessly.

Child and Young Person’s Mindfulness Coach

I work directly with children and young people aged 6 – 18 years, connecting them to confidence, helping them to feel happier, to manage their behaviour, to be more resilient and more focused by teaching them mindful techniques including meditation, to help them cope more with the stresses and strains of modern life. And a happy, contented child = a happy, contented parent/carer/teacher. I hold 1-2-1 sessions in person and online which are tailored to the individual needs of your child.

I help clients: gain clarity, find more peace, reduce stress, boost confidence and mental health and so much more.

I will:

  • Be absolutely straight, honest and authentic with you - without losing my sense of humour
  • Make sure we stay on track and hold you to your agenda and desired outcomes
  • Take risks, swing out from time to time and ask you the hard questions
  • Speak frankly and without attachment, in service to your growth and learning - you may not always appreciate that in the moment. That is part of your growth curve.
